The
Center for Creative Living also offers group therapy. Women's groups, mixed
gender groups, and an adolescent groups. Along with our two directors, we have
other highly trained and specialized psychotherapists, all of whom are licensed
and offer years of experience, and educational backgrounds. They lend the center
their expertise in additional specialty areas, including geriatric counseling,
substance abuse therapy, and neuropsychology.
Dr.
Ron Mercer, co-director and Corporate and Community Director of our center,
specializes in the treatment of men's issues, adolescent oppositional defiancy
disorder, marital therapy, and hypnotherapy. Dr. Mercer is a men's issues expert,
he conducts groups and workshops for men entitled "LifeMasters". He
also at various times conducts a group for fibromyalgia sufferers and their families
as well as a mixed gender group.
Susan Schwartz-Mercer, MSW, LCSW
co-directs the Center and is Clinical Director, specializing in treating anxiety
disorders, depression, couples and family issues, grief counseling, support for
chronic and terminal illness, and adoption issues. She facilitates the Women's
group as well as offering various workshops for men and women alike.
