Patricia Joyce is a licensed psychologist who holds a Ph.D. in
clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Her specialty
is neuropsychology. Dr. Joyce is a member of the APA (American Psychological
Association) and NAN (National Academy of Neuroscience). She has been
licensed in the state of Florida since 2001.
Dr. Joyce specializes in treating disorders of the brain including
learning disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder (ADD/ADHD), developmental delays (in children), head injury
and post-concussion syndrome, neurological disorders (in adults),
dementia/memory testing for seniors, and testing and treatment post-stroke
or other traumatic events. Dr. Joyce treats all of these conditions
after testing. In addition, she also treats anxiety, depression, and
pain management on a limited basis.
Dr. Joyce provides services to a specialized population of movement
disordered patients with Huntington's disease on a monthly basis,
including a
support group.
Dr. Joyce accepts Medicare, but is not currently a provider on any
other insurance plans. However, she will accept many insurances as
an out.of-network provider where insurance is accepted, however many
insurance plans do not cover testing. She also offers sliding scale
fees.
